TGR-NET

About

Hello video game world.

About Me

My name is Sean, and I’m the lead(and currently only) writer here at tgr-net. For some basic info, I’m in my mid-20s at the moment, have been gaming for over 20 years(since the good old NES days), and currently own one of every current gen console.  I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, which means I have around 6 months per year to hide inside and game – which gives me a lot of time to get caught up on games. There are only two things I won’t touch as far as gaming goes: First person games and Sports games(this does not include sports-themed minigames, by the way). So you will never see me review either of those.

About the Site

TGR-net was originally intended as merely a game reviews site entitled “TheGameReviewer.net” well over a year ago. After a few changes in theme, concept, and direction; here we are. The site is ready to be set out into the world as “TGR-net.com”, keeping my original name but under a different, more general domain, with a different focus. In stead of ‘merely’ being a review website, I am rolling this out as a blog of my musings, primarily on the subject of video games, but technology and other subjects may find their way into this as well.

This website will still contain reviews, but they won’t have a numerical score, and any reviews on this website will be done by someone who has, at the very least, a positive outlook on the genre the game belongs to. I feel that having a review done by someone who dislikes the genre will only lead to an uninformed, overly negative, and uninformative review. This outlook was actually inspired by a comment by Tommy Tallarico on a review he did, where he said “Listen, if you like RTS games, you know not to trust me. So why even ask?” Words that I wish more people heeded.

And that’s where this site came from, where it goes will be seen in the coming months.
