I wanted to take a little bit of time to address some aspects of each press conference from this year’s E3. We had four full press conferences on Monday and Nintendo did their little Nintendo Direct on the Tuesday morning… and each one had some interesting elements. Every company had some good announcements, they all made some mistakes.
So, rather than spending ages trying to predict this year’s E3 – an act I feel will be completely futile this year – I’ll give just some brief expectations and then go into the things that I’m hoping for… the specifics that would make each presentation a hit for me personally and some additional things I’d love to see reported from the show floor. Without further ado, let’s get right into it.
So we’ve had the reveals of both the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 now… and I wanted to take some time to talk about the announcements and my perception of the two right now…. or rather, what little we know about them both.
It’s been funny watching tweets, articles, and discussions about Hearthstone, the digital collectible card game Blizzard announced at Pax, over the past weekend. The reactions to the game’s 1 hour presentation were lukewarm, and unsurprisingly so. However, over the course of the days since the announcement, I’ve watched a rather dramatic shift…
With the onset of a new generation… it’s time for everyone involved in gaming at all to start looking forward into the future and making predictions, hopes, and otherwise. And get hyped… definitely get hyped.
